The Carnivorous Plant Society

The Carnivorous Plant Society is a registered Charity, founded in 1978 with the aim of bringing together all those interested in carnivorous plants, both beginners and experts. Membership is open to all individuals and institutions, both amateur and professional.

20-21st April 19 Hampshire Carnivorous Plants                           Open Weekend                 10am - 4pm Stroudwood Nursery, Stroudwood Lane, Lower Upham, Southampton, SO32 1HG The first of four open weekends offered by the nursery this year.  With a chance to see many of the plants in full flower, plus morning and afternoon potting demonstrations, this will be a great day out to meet fellow growers and chat to the expert growers at the nursery.  Plant sales and refreshments will be available.
11-12th May 19 Hampshire Carnivorous Plants                           Open Weekend                 10am - 4pm Stroudwood Nursery, Stroudwood Lane, Lower Upham, Southampton, SO32 1HG For the first time ever, an exciting chance to preview the nursery's display plants as they prepare for the Chelsea Flower Show.  See the plants at their absolute best; their Sarracenia are a sight to behold with some of the largest specimens in Europe.  Huge range of plants for sale as well as sundries and refreshments.
20-21st July 19 Hampshire Carnivorous Plants                           Open Weekend                 10am - 4pm Stroudwood Nursery, Stroudwood Lane, Lower Upham, Southampton, SO32 1HG Come and see the plants in their glorious full colour; the Sarracenia flavas and hybrids will be looking fabulous and the Nepenthes also look great at this time of year.  Huge range of plants for sale and refreshments available.
5-6th October 19 Hampshire Carnivorous Plants                           Open Weekend                 10am - 4pm Stroudwood Nursery, Stroudwood Lane, Lower Upham, Southampton, SO32 1HG The last open weekend of the year offers visitors the opportunity to see Sarracenia leucophylla and related-hybrids at their absolute best.  It's a good time of year to see examples of other plant species and hybrids just preparing for winter dormancy - and to get tips on how to prepare your own plants for winter.  Plant sales and refreshments available.
