Ian Ladd

Trustee, Chair

Ian chairs the Society’s meetings, represents the charity externally, and helps ensure that the committee works effectively.

Ian is semi-retired and based in Scunthorpe. In his previous career he held leadership positions in the food and beverages industry.

Dave Browne

Trustee, Vice Chair

Dave has been in the horticultural sector for over 40years, now retired and living in the highlands of Scotland.
I’ve been growing these beautiful plants for the last few years and very addictive.

Stephen Morley

Trustee, Conservation Officer, Newsletter Editor

Stephen leads the Society’s conservation activities.

He lives in Yorkshire and is a professional ecologist.

Dr Paul Richards

Trustee, Assistant Conservation Officer

Paul leads the Society’s conservation activities and has a longstanding interest in growing carnivorous plants. Paul lives in Essex and works in research and innovation funding and policy.

Dr Ed Vollans

Trustee, 50th Anniversary Officer

Dr Ed Vollans is a Lecturer in Media and Advertising at the University of Leicester, he is a former journalist and fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He joined the CPS in 2020.

Nik McIntyre

Trustee, Seedbank Officer

Nik has been interested in horticulture for 30 Years and has been growing carnivorous plants for around 15 years. Nik works in customer service and lives in Glasgow.

Christopher Wheeler

Trustee, Enquiries Officer

I am based in the Heart of Norfolk. I got my first Venus fly trap when I was about ten. Joined the Carnivorous Plant Society in the mid 1980’s. I Studied Horticulture at Easton College of Agriculture for five years. My knowledge base is large but I am still learning new things about plants everyday.
