Dividing Sarracenia - by Sheila Little.
First remove the plant from it's pot.

Remove as much peat as possible to expose the roots.
Work out where you want to divide the plant, usually between at least two grow points and snap the rhizome to seperate the pieces.
Here you can see the rhizome has been snapped

Gently pull the pieces apart, seperating the rootball.
Once you have the pieces seperated remove more of the old peat if you can.
While the pieces are out of the pot, take the opportunity to clean up the divisions and remove any brown or dead looking bits of old pitchers.
Then just pot up the divisions making sure the rhizome stays on the surface of the peat.
