The CPS Journal and Newsletter A full-colour journal and newsletter (Planta Carnivora) is published and sent to every member in the spring and autumn. They contain fascinating articles from members on a range of topics, including: Society news, cultivation of the different species grown, field trips, new plant discoveries and cultivars, conservation, events, etc. Our aim is to make the content relevant, interesting, informative and most importantly readable. At the same time we send out the latest Seed Bank List to Postal-members (E-members receive their Seed Bank Lists electronically). In addition we send out an additional Seed Bank List to postal members in the summer and winter, along with any other news we need to get to you. E-members receive additional Seed Bank Lists and news electronically. From time to time other informative material is sent out, including a CPS Growing Guide for each new member. The Carnivorous Plant Society Journal and Newsletter (Planta Carnivora) is one of oldest of its kind in the world. It is published twice each year in spring and autumn. (Remember you can only obtain The CPS Journal and Newsletter by being a member of the Society.) How to submit articles for The CPS Journal: Electronic submissions can be emailed This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to me; preferably as an attached document rather than in the actual body of the email. Don't worry about formatting, spelling or grammar - that's my problem to worry about! Electronic files are best transferred as Text only (.txt) or Rich-Text format (.rtf) for reasons of compatibility across systems. However, standard Word documents (.doc) are also OK. Words printed on paper, or even handwritten, are all equally acceptable via post too. Photographic submissions can be made in a wide variety of formats: - Photographic prints

If digital formats are to be sent, please ensure each file is the highest resolution available – a picture that is 900 pixels wide will only print out 3 inches wide. Formats best to send are JPEG or TIFF, but most image files will be readable. You may find it easier to send CDs through the post if you have a lot of files, as you might melt the internet sending them through email! However, if you are blessed with a speedy internet connection, please contact me prior to sending large files through email. Please remember to include your contact details with your submission, in case of problems or questions.
